General Regulations
The Kutaisi Free Industrial Zone (KFZ) operates under the Law of Georgia on Free Industrial Zones, providing significant regulatory incentives for registered companies. The relationship between the Free Industrial Zone (FIZ) administrator and the FIZ enterprises is governed by the GIH charter and respective registration, licensing, and lease agreements.
Following activities are prohibited by law on the FIZ premises:
- Manufacturing or trading of weapons, arms, and ammunition
- Manufacturing or trading of nuclear and radioactive substances
- Importing, storing, manufacturing, or selling narcotic and psychotropic substances
- Importing, storing, manufacturing, or selling tobacco products and/or raw tobacco materials
- Using buildings for residential purposes
- Importing, storing, manufacturing, or selling excisable goods
